Ok, so the film depicted in this cartoon, entitled Children Coming out of Sunday School (starring an unsuspecting Gus) was not real. This cartoon itself was however published 100 years ago, and gives us one (albeit distorted) view of American film culture 100 years ago. It also predicts the premise of a 1917 Fatty Arbucle film, A Reckless Romeo
